LAWRENCEBURG, TN — Lawrence County Fire Rescue crews responded to seven calls for service by 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, including two injury crashes that temporarily closed portions of U.S. Highway 43.
According to the department, one crash occurred in Summertown, while a second happened Wednesday afternoon in Leoma. Highway 43 was closed for a short time at both locations as emergency crews worked the scenes.
Other calls included a mutual-aid response for a swift-water rescue, a heavy-equipment fire, a commercial fire alarm activation and two high-priority medical emergencies.
No additional information regarding injuries or the circumstances surrounding the incidents was immediately available.
