LAWRENCEBURG, TN — Lawrence County Fire Rescue volunteers had a busy start to Wednesday, responding to four emergency calls within a span of less than four hours, including two vehicle crashes and two high-priority medical calls.
At approximately 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, LCFR units were dispatched to a commercial motor vehicle rollover crash in the Summertown Fire District. Emergency crews responded to the scene, which was later cleared with no major injuries reported.
The rollover was one of four calls handled by LCFR volunteers Wednesday morning.
The first call came in at 3:22 a.m. for a high-priority medical emergency in the Ethridge area. Just over an hour later, crews were dispatched to the Summertown rollover.
Only eight minutes after that call, at 4:38 a.m., LCFR was dispatched to another high-priority medical emergency in the Gandy area.
At 7:12 a.m., volunteers were called out for a second motor vehicle crash, this one in the Leoma area.
According to Lawrence County Fire Rescue, all four calls were answered by trained volunteer personnel.
The morning’s calls included:
- 3:22 a.m. — High-Priority Medical Call, Ethridge
- 4:30 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash, Summertown
- 4:38 a.m. — High-Priority Medical Call, Gandy
- 7:12 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash, Leoma
Lawrence County Fire Rescue provides emergency response throughout the county utilizing trained volunteers who respond to fires, crashes, medical emergencies and other calls for service.
