LAWRENCEBURG, TN — Springer Road in Lawrenceburg has reopened to traffic following the completion of a major phase of work by the city’s Department of Public Works.
City officials announced Thursday that the roadway is now open, though motorists are being asked to use caution as crews continue additional work along nearby side streets.
The project required Department of Public Works employees to contend with extreme summer heat and a number of unexpected challenges during construction.
City officials expressed appreciation for Department Head Jerry Smith and his crew for their work in completing the project and encouraged residents to thank the employees who spent numerous hours working to reopen the roadway.
Drivers traveling through the Springer Road area should remain alert for workers and equipment as the remaining improvements are completed.
