LAWRENCEBURG, TN — A Lawrence County jury found Rocky Nathan Tease guilty Wednesday on multiple felony charges, including three counts of aggravated rape and one count of aggravated kidnapping.
Tease was convicted of three counts of aggravated rape, one count of sexual battery and one count of aggravated kidnapping following a trial in Lawrence County Circuit Court.
Assistant District Attorney Brittany Langford presented the state’s case at trial. The investigation was conducted by Investigator Ray Chavez, with Victim Witness Coordinators Victoria Jacobs and Kim Sandlin Magee assisting throughout the case.
Following the verdict, Circuit Judge J. Russell Parkes revoked Tease’s bond and ordered him taken into custody pending sentencing.
Prosecutors also praised the victim for her courage in testifying before the jury about the circumstances surrounding the case and expressed hope for her continued healing.
A sentencing date was not immediately provided.
