LEOMA, TN – A Sunday afternoon traffic crash claimed one life. The deadly wreck occurred just before 4 PM when two vehicles collided on Highway 43 near the Purcell Lane intersection in Leoma. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. At least three other people were transported to Nashville hospitals for treatment of critical injuries.
Members of the Leoma Fire Department, Lawrence County EMS, Air Evac 110, Lawrenceburg / Lawrence County EMA, Lawrenceburg Police Department, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene. The incident remains under investigation by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
