LAWRENCEBURG, TN – At approximately 01:26 January 12th, members of the Lawrenceburg Fire Department were dispatched to a reported structure fire on Brink Street, located in Station 1’s district. Initial reports were a detached garage had caught fire. While responding, dispatched advised the fire had extended to the home. First arriving crews found heavy smoke and flames visible from the rear of the structure. An offensive attack was preformed to extinguish the fire and contain it to one room of the home and the attic of the detached garage. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire was believed to be caused by a heat lamp. We can’t stress enough to please be aware of heat lamps used for outside animals. Please be sure these lamps are not near items that will easily combust.
