LAWRENCEBURG, TN – Sacred Heart School, a longstanding institution built upon a strong foundation of faith and tradition, is delighted to announce the appointment of Julie Owens as its new principal, effective April 7, 2025. Mrs. Owens, a passionate advocate for Catholic education, is dedicated to guiding students on their spiritual journey and helping them grow in faith as they strive for holiness.
“The shining legacy of Sacred Heart School and Catholic education in Lawrence County offers us a grace-filled opportunity to continue forming young minds and renewing our culture in service to the apostolic mission of Jesus Christ and His Church,” said Father Forsythe, Pastor at Sacred Heart Church. “As Interim Principal, Mrs. Owens has shown herself to be a capable and faith-filled leader, ready to guide us through this journey of growth, preparation, and transformation. We warmly welcome her joy, vision, leadership, and faith to the Sacred Heart community. With grateful hearts, we thank God for His providence in bringing her to us.”
In her new role, Mrs. Owens is excited to continue Sacred Heart School’s mission of educating the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. “It is a true honor to join Sacred Heart School,” she said. “Our mission is clear—to help our students grow into the saints God created them to be. By nurturing their academic growth, deepening their faith, and developing their character, we will help them embody the virtues of love, service, and discipleship.”
Under Mrs. Owens’ leadership, Sacred Heart School will continue to grow and evolve, working in partnership with dedicated teachers, staff, and families to create a nurturing and supportive environment. Together, they will inspire students to live out the Gospel message and foster a community grounded in love and service.
