LAWRENCEBURG, TN – Modine Manufacturing will cut 162 jobs at its Lawrenceburg facility beginning in April. Sources close to the matter said some of the positions will move to the company’s assets in Mexico, China, and Wisconsin. Lawrenceburg Mayor Blake Lay was notified by the company of its intentions Friday morning. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce CEO Ryan Egly said, “We are working proactively with the Tennessee Department of Labor to prepare to deploy their services to impacted workers. News like this is never fun to share, but we are blessed to steward an organization with great partnerships and resources to minimize the stress affected families are feeling during this time of change and transition.” Local employers have been asked to post available job openings on the website, www.Jobs4TN.gov to assist displaced workers. Modine has been a staple in Lawrenceburg’s industrial community for nearly 45 years.
