ST. JOSEPH, TN — The City of St. Joseph recently celebrated a professional achievement by Police Chief Adam Brewer while also demonstrating its continued support for local senior citizens.
Chief Brewer was honored with an official proclamation from the Tennessee Senate recognizing his completion of the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police Executive Leadership Program.
Brewer was one of only 16 law enforcement executives from across Tennessee selected to participate in the advanced program, which focuses on leadership development, organizational management, community engagement and public safety.
The Senate proclamation commends Brewer for his continued professional development, leadership and dedicated service to the residents of St. Joseph. The document was signed by Tennessee Lieutenant Governor Randy McNally and State Senator Page Walley.
“Chief Brewer’s commitment to continued training and professional growth reflects the kind of leadership we want in St. Joseph,” City Manager Chris D. Jackson said. “I am incredibly proud of what he has accomplished and grateful for the dedication he shows every day to his officers, our department and the people of our community. This recognition is well deserved.”
City officials also thanked Walley and members of the Tennessee Senate for recognizing Brewer’s accomplishments and his efforts to strengthen the St. Joseph Police Department.
During the city’s most recent meeting, officials also presented a $1,000 donation to the St. Joseph Senior Citizens organization.
The contribution was approved by the St. Joseph Board of Mayor and Commissioners as part of the city’s Fiscal Year 2026–2027 budget.
Mayor Bubba Carter, Vice Mayor Beverly White and Commissioner Marty Passarella said the city budget represents more than financial figures. It also reflects the priorities and values of the community.
By including the donation in the budget, city leaders said they wanted to emphasize the important role senior citizens continue to play in St. Joseph.
Local seniors have spent decades serving, building and strengthening the community, and their experience, contributions and continued involvement remain valuable to the city.
Officials said the donation will help support the fellowship, activities and other opportunities the St. Joseph Senior Citizens organization provides to area residents.
