LAWRENCEBURG, TN – With students returning to school next week, motorists are being reminded to plan ahead as the second phase of the Springer Road improvement project continues.
Springer Road remains closed between 7th Street and Weakley Creek Road while crews complete critical roadway improvements. Drivers should allow extra travel time and plan alternate routes as school traffic increases.
According to the City of Lawrenceburg:
– Motorists should not attempt to drive through the closed section.
– Drivers should follow all posted detours and traffic-control signs.
– Heavier-than-normal traffic is expected on surrounding streets, especially during morning and afternoon school travel times.
– Motorists should watch for construction crews, slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution to protect workers and other drivers.
The closure will remain in place until construction is complete. The timeline remains dependent on weather and other construction-related conditions.
