LAWRENCEBURG, TN — Construction on the Springer Road improvement project has been temporarily suspended because of issues affecting the availability of asphalt, according to the City of Lawrenceburg.
City officials said work has been halted for the past several days due to problems at the Rogers Group asphalt mix plant. The situation has limited the amount of paving material available for crews working on the project.
The delay is expected to be temporary. Construction crews will return to Springer Road and resume work as soon as the necessary asphalt supplies become available.
Officials did not announce a specific date for work to restart, as the timeline will depend on when production and material deliveries can resume.
The City of Lawrenceburg thanked residents, motorists and nearby property owners for their patience and understanding while the supply issue is resolved.
Drivers should continue to use caution when traveling through the project area and remain alert for construction equipment, lane changes or other traffic impacts once work resumes.
