Lawrenceburg City Council to Consider Code Changes, West Highland Property Improvements Thursday

LAWRENCEBURG, TN — The Lawrenceburg City Council will meet Thursday, August 27, at 9 a.m. in the Council Meeting Room of the Lawrenceburg Municipal Complex at 25 Public Square.

Council members are scheduled to consider several items, including the second reading of an ordinance related to the city’s adoption of the International Residential Code.

Ordinance No. 1461 would amend Ordinance 1413 by adding exceptions to Title 12, Chapter 9 of the Lawrenceburg Municipal Code concerning the International Residential Code. The measure will be presented for second reading.

The council will also consider a resolution declaring a 2006 van as surplus property and returning the vehicle to its donor, Steve McMasters.

Another resolution would accept a bid from Evers Construction Company for $41,416 for the conversion of an existing storage room into an ADA-compliant unisex restroom at the West Highland Gym Property.

Anyone wishing to address the council regarding an agenda item or another subject within the jurisdiction of the governing body must sign in prior to the beginning of the meeting.
