LAWRENCEBURG, TN — Families planning vacations, visits and long weekends during the upcoming school year now have a complete list of scheduled holidays, breaks and school closure dates for the Lawrence County School System.
The district has released its holiday and break schedule for the 2026–2027 academic year, giving parents and guardians an opportunity to coordinate travel and family activities around the school calendar.
The first extended weekend of the school year will be associated with Labor Day. Schools will be out September 5 through September 8, with students returning to class on September 9.
Fall Break is scheduled for October 2 through October 11. Classes will resume on October 12.
A Parent/Teacher Conference Day is scheduled for October 19, with students returning to school on October 20.
The Thanksgiving holiday will run from November 21 through November 29. Students will return to class on November 30.
The district’s Christmas and New Year’s break will begin December 19 and continue through January 4. Classes will resume on January 5.
Schools will also be closed for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend from January 16 through January 18, with students returning on January 19.
The President’s Day break is scheduled for February 13 through February 15. Students will return to school on February 16.
Spring Break, which includes Good Friday, will be observed from March 20 through March 29. Classes will resume on March 30.
A second Parent/Teacher Conference Day is scheduled for April 5, with students returning to class on April 6.
The district’s May Mini Break will run from May 15 through May 17. Students will return to school on May 18.
The final day of the 2026–2027 school year is scheduled for May 28, when summer break will officially begin.
Lawrence County School System officials are encouraging families to save the schedule and refer to it before booking vacations or making other plans during the academic year.
