LAWRENCEBURG, TN — The Lawrence County Board of Education recognized Shannon Watson during its August meeting for her years of service to the school system and community.
Watson has served as a member of the Lawrence County Board of Education in recent years, continuing a lengthy career dedicated to public education in Lawrence County.
Before being elected to the school board, Watson spent decades working for the Lawrence County School System. Her career included service as a classroom teacher before later taking on leadership roles as the district’s Career and Technical Education, or CTE, director and communications director.
School system officials expressed their appreciation for Watson’s continued commitment to Lawrence County students, employees and families.
“The Lawrence County School System is grateful for the time, dedication, and commitment Shannon has given to the students, staff, and families of this district,” the school system said in recognizing Watson.
Officials thanked Watson for the many roles she has filled throughout her career and for her continued service to Lawrence County Schools and the community.
