Multi-Semi Crash Shuts Down Interstate 65 in Spring Hill

SPRING HILL, TN — Motorists traveling through Spring Hill are facing significant delays Tuesday afternoon after a fiery crash involving multiple tractor-trailers forced authorities to shut down Interstate 65.

The crash happened near mile marker 50, in the area of the Kedron Road overpass.

According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation and Spring Hill Police, traffic is currently blocked in both directions as emergency crews work the scene.

Video from the area shows multiple semi-trucks involved in the crash, with at least two appearing to have collided head-on. Large flames and heavy smoke could be seen coming from the wreckage.

The Spring Hill Fire Department is among the agencies responding to the incident.

Drivers, particularly those traveling south through the Spring Hill area during the afternoon commute, should expect major delays and are encouraged to seek an alternate route if possible.
